Types of Articles Published

CST accepts a variety of article types to accommodate different research contributions, including:

  1. Current Interest
    Articles highlighting recent advancements and critical discussions in scientific research.
  2. Review Articles
    Comprehensive reviews that summarize, analyze, and provide insights into recent developments in specific fields.
  3. Original Research Articles

Objective and Aims

The primary aims of CST are:

  • To provide a comprehensive platform for the latest research developments in science and technology.
  • To facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration among scientists, engineers, and researchers to foster new research opportunities.
  • To maintain a high standard of publication through a rapid yet thorough peer-review process.
  • To support the open-access movement, ensuring free and unrestricted access to scientific knowledge globally.

Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to the Communications in Science and Technology (CST) journal must follow the Focus and Scope and Author Guidelines of this journal. Manuscripts submitted must meet scientific value and/or be novel or new contributions to knowledge in accordance with the focus and scope of this journal.

All manuscripts submitted to this journal must be written in English. Writers for whom English is not their native language are encouraged to check their papers before submission for grammar and clarity or with Professional English Editing. The work may not be published or submitted for publication elsewhere.

All submitted manuscripts must be free from plagiarism content. All authors are advised to use plagiarism detection software to carry out similarity checks. The editor will also check the similarity of manuscripts in this journal using Turnitin software.

Manuscripts submitted to this journal will be peer reviewed by a minimum of 2 (two) or more expert reviewers. Reviewers provide valuable scientific comments to improve the contents of the manuscript. Sometimes (if necessary) a third peer-reviewer is needed to provide critical comments on the submitted manuscript. The review process used in this journal is a single-blind review system.

The final decision on manuscript acceptance is made entirely by the Editor-in-Chief and/or Editor based on the critical comments of the reviewers. The final decision on the manuscript is based solely on the Editor's final review which considers the comments of the peer-reviewers.

Publication of accepted articles including article assignments after the review process will be published based on the order of acceptance and publication date.

English Editing during Production Process

The accepted manuscript in CSS, after a double-blind peer-review process, should pass proofread-English editing to ensure the quality of the language of the article, thus providing benefits to the reader. For non-native speakers, we request the authors conduct it using professional English Language Editing. The certificate proof of the English language editing should be provided during the copy-editing process before publication. Alternatively, we offer the authors to conduct the English editing through service as follows:

Publication Frequency

This journal follows a semi-annual publication schedule, meaning it publishes two issues per year. Articles can be published in two ways:

  • Issue-Based Publication – Articles are released collectively in an issue with its own Table of Contents, typically in June and December.
  • Continuous Publication – Individual articles may be published as soon as they are ready and added to the "current" volume's Table of Contents before finalizing the issue.

The journal's expected frequency of publication is twice a year (biannually).

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
